Timico announces changes to Senior Management Team to drive customer first growth strategy
Leading managed services provider, Timico, has announced several strategic changes to its Senior Management Team, to accelerate its customer first growth strategy, whilst continuing to advance its cloud technology proposition.
Having joined Timico in December 2019 as Chief People Officer, David Jones has been promoted to Managing Director of Corporate and SMB, where he will be responsible for customer relationship management and in driving organic sales growth of 10% CAGR over the next 2 years.
With a proven background in leadership, commercial sales and marketing, and building high performance cultures, David has extensive Board Level experience through his previous roles at Travis Perkins, Daisy Group and Vodafone.
He will now play a fundamental role in driving an aggressive sales strategy, that will ensure Timico remains both agile and responsive to customer needs – with a key focus on increasing market share amongst public sector and corporate enterprise organisations.
To hone its customer centric approach, Timico has also announced the appointment of Jon Portlock as its new Customer Solutions Director. Jon joins Timico from Exponential-e, where he was Head of Cloud Services, and boasts extensive experience in working closely with organisations to transform IT operations and enable competitive advantage, having joined Timico.
The new changes to Timico’s Senior Management Team follows the recent appointment of Strategy and Marketing Director, Andrew Vize, who has now been promoted to the Executive Board as Chief Marketing Officer and remains focused on driving the next phase of the firm’s development as a cloud-first service provider.
Neil Muller, CEO of Timico, confirmed: “Over the last 6 months, the Executive Board and I have implemented a number of strategic changes within Timico, that will enable us to continue to advance our position and significantly increase market share.
Fundamental to driving this strategy is not only in ensuring we as an organisation are agile and can respond effectively to customer demands as both the wider market and technology landscape continue to evolve, but that we also have the right talent in place to propel Timico forwards and achieve our business objectives. I am, therefore, delighted to welcome Jon to the team and look forward to working closely with him, David and Andrew over the coming months.“
Backed by private equity firm, Horizon Capital, Timico is a Crown Commercial Service supplier, having been awarded a place on the UK Government Cloud [G-Cloud] 12 Framework for 20 of its IT Cloud and Security solutions for public sector organisations.
Headquartered in Newark-on-Trent, the firm boasts a leading client portfolio with key brands including St John Ambulance, Domino’s Pizza and Harrods Aviation.
