Communications firm announces partnership with junior football team

COMMUNICATIONS and design consultancy LEC has been confirmed as the new kit sponsor of the Norton and Stockton Ancients Girls’ Under 10s football team.

The firm, which was founded by managing director Leanne Fawcett in 2012, has agreed an annual package which has enabled the team coaches to invest in new kits for the girls, including training and match tops and coats.

It comes following a successful sponsorship deal of the team’s winter coats, which run through the 2019-2020 season.

Leanne Fawcett, whose nine-year-old daughter Darcey plays for the Under 10s, said: “I am delighted to have agreed this lucrative sponsorship deal, which will see the recently re-branded LEC logo displayed across the girls’ team kits.

“It’s great exposure for LEC as we continue to bounce back following the challenges which the coronavirus pandemic presented – 2021 has been a great year for the business with several new clients brought on board and I am keen to keep that momentum going by putting the brand in front of a new audience which will support my plans for growth.

“It’s also vital for Norton and Stockton Ancients Girls’ Under 10s – as a small but growing team, sponsorship support of this nature is essential. This deal means the coaches have been able to purchase new kits for every member of the team which, given many of the girls are growing through growth spurts, were very much needed.” The Norton and Stockton Ancients Girls Under 10s team play in the Teesside Junior Football Alliance League and are coached by Patrick Wilson, Caitlin Jones and Nick Watson.

Patrick said: “Like many football teams of this size, we rely on the very generous support of businesses in the area that are prepared to put their hands in their pockets to sponsor us.

“The deal with LEC has meant we have been able to buy new kits for all ten girls, which really boosts team spirit and camaraderie. Some of the girls haven’t been with us very long so being in the same kits as the other longer serving members of the team is so important to help them settle in quickly.”

LEC is a communications, marketing and design company based at Novus Business Centre in Peterlee. The firm services a vast and growing portfolio of clients across the country from sectors including manufacturing, technology, training and development, leisure and retail, food and drink and business support.
