Seach for CHP Partner

Pioneering Flue Liner Solutions is looking for a manufacturer to partner with to support its venture into CHP (combined heat & power).

The firm, which already has a growing list of blue-chip commercial customers in manufacturing, education and hospitality is responding to market demand by investing in this green energy option.

The latest government statistics show that low fuel costs are contributing to the continued massive growth in the CHP sector.

Flue Liner Solutions already provides comprehensive chimney lining and repair services to commercial customers across many sectors and recognised the huge potential to broaden its services.

Combined heat and power is an energy-efficient system that generates electricity from traditional fuels and capture the heat that is generated to be reused for space heating, domestic hot water, and industrial processes. CHP creates electricity and useful heat together in a single process, allowing organisations to reduce energy costs, while also supporting a more sustainable alternative to traditional boilers.

A high efficiency CHP unit can provides energy cost savings of up to 40 percent compared to grid supplied power and heat from boilers and cam provide a return on investment within 2 to 3 years.

By generating heat and power concurrently, a good CHP unit can reduce carbon emissions by up to 30 per cent compared to traditional methods.

Mike Byrne, Director at Flue Liner Solutions comments “With the continued growth of CHP within many commercial sectors it is an obvious next step for us. It expands our offer to customers we are already supporting. As the energy market continues to change CHP offers a more reliable and highly sustainable and efficient energy supply that allows the business to get on with what they do best.

“We’re looking for a new partner to support this new area of the business which will support our existing service to maximise the efficiency, safety and performance of flue systems.”

Every organisation has different requirements, for those with a suitable site and set up CHP can provide the heat needed whilst lowering energy costs by combining both sources from one system. He added “We currently work with many heritage buildings and CHP is not confined to contemporary properties or large manufacturing, it has also been successfully used in many period properties which will also benefit from a reduced carbon footprint and better value energy use.”
