New distribution centre to create 30 jobs for London food importer
A London food and drink importer has announced that it is set to create around 30 jobs as it acquires a new regional distribution centre.
Wanis International Foods has acquired a new 100,000 sq ft regional distribution centre at SEGRO Park in Rainham for an undisclosed amount.
The company, which was advised by Colliers, said that the newly built centre will create approximately 30 jobs for the local area.
Akhtar Alibhai from Colliers, said: “It has been great to be involved in this exciting acquisition on behalf of Wanis and to work so closely with SEGRO to deliver this new high specification distribution centre on time, following a tight 38 week build programme.”
“We have been advising Wanis on their logistics expansion plan, which began in 2017 when we acquired a 6.5 acre distribution centre for them in Milton Keynes.
“This state-of-the-art new build facility has just been completed and Wanis has now begun a substantial fit out programme with occupation expected before the end of the year.
“This latest addition takes their logistics and distribution capacity to over 350,000 sq. ft across the Midlands and South East.”
