New Sheffield store for Bensons after split from Harveys
A UK furniture company has announced that it is moving into a new store in Sheffield following last year’s £25m investment.
Bensons for Beds has taken a lease at Unit 18, Drakehouse Retail Park in Waterthorpe, spanning nearly 5,000 sq ft.
The move into the new store – which employs five colleagues – is another step in the transformation of Bensons following the restructuring deal which separated it from former sister company Harveys.
The store will be run by manager Chris Carney, who has been with the business for 20 years at stores including Rotherham and Sheffield.
Bensons’ managing director for retail, Alan Williams, said: “The new store will allow us to display our best ranges more effectively and make sure that our customers in Sheffield make the right choice.”
