£700k investment for Yorkshire town with new housing development
A new housing development is set to bring an investment of nearly £700k to a Yorkshire town.
Barratt Homes Yorkshire West is creating a development of new homes in Cleckheaton, which will bring thousands of pounds of investment into the area.
More than £470k will be contributed by Barratt to education facilities in the area, with a further £62k for the Sustainable Travel Fund through Kirklees Council.
On top of this, £72k has been allocated to contribute to local open spaces, £32k to public transport, and £20k to improving pedestrian and cycle connections.
David Coe, land and developments director from Barratt Homes Yorkshire West, commented: “We’re delighted to be supporting the Cleckheaton community through the contributions made as a result of our brand new development.
“We’re really looking forward to seeing the reception the new development receives from potential homebuyers in the area and would encourage those looking for their forever home to book an appointment with our sales team to get all the information they need.”
