North East shopping centre to host recruitment day to boost hospitality roles
Metrocentre Gateshead is inviting job seekers and industry professionals to a Hospitality ‘Discovery Day’ on November 3 to find out more about the hospitality sector.
The recruitment day will take place inside the shopping centre’s Qube with participants set to gain insight into current vacant roles at the likes of wagamama, TGI Friday’s, Zucchini, Pizza Express plus many more.
Tracy Allison, community hub co-ordinator at Metrocentre Gateshead, said: “The negative effects of COVID-19 and Brexit have had a significant and direct impact on the hospitality industry with the loss of experienced and skilled staff to other sectors that are deemed more stable.
“By taking a new, fun and collaborative approach, we hope to reinvigorate excitement surrounding hospitality and reassure people that the industry is still as rewarding as ever.
“All we ask is that people come with open mind and a willingness to learn. You’ll leave with an understanding of how vital excellent customer service and working together as a team is.”
