Yorkshire based “dog subscription box” business sales up 440% on first year
Yorkshire based business woman Charlotte Watson identified a gap in the £1.4bn subscription box market and established her own brand for dog-related products in 2020.
Ryther based Charlotte founded DogBoxboutique.com to help other dog owners treat their four legged friends with “upmarket” toys and treats, and has since seen the business’ sales reach 440 per cent growth over 2020.
Charlotte noted: “There are 12.5m dogs in the UK, with a third of us now owning a pooch. We saw a big uplift in sales as more dog lovers became pet owners in the last two years.
“We now have customers all over the UK, with lucky pooches enjoying high quality dog toys and treats each month.”
She added: “It’s a huge opportunity for Dogboxboutique.com. It’s just so much easier to treat our pets now and we only source the best quality treats, snacks and toys.
“It just means dog lovers don’t need to trawl the internet to find quirky new treats like the fluffy avocado toy or the knitted reindeer toy that we have in our next boxes.”
Charlotte continued: “We also like to look after dogs in need, so we give £1 for every DogBox purchased on the website at dogboxboutique.com to Dogs Trust.”
