IT firm partners with Yorkshire manufacturing network to enhance sector

An IT consultancy firm has announced a partnership with Made in Yorkshire aiming to help manufacturers use technology to accelerate business growth.

Made in Yorkshire is a membership organisation that supports UK manufacturing. As the largest private manufacturing network in the region, representing 500 manufacturing businesses, its aim is to promote, inspire and share best practice throughout the UK manufacturing industry.

Fluid delivers digital transformation for manufacturers in food and beverage production, FMCG, medical and electrical equipment and supplies. The business believes in a collaborative approach, working with and alongside clients to deliver results.

Managing director Jonty Abbott says, “Our experience tells us that UK manufacturers are open to innovation – in fact, many of them are already on their digital journey. The sheer volume of technology options can be daunting, and we help manufacturers figure out what will bring them the best return on investment.

“As a network patron, we’re looking forward to supporting Made in Yorkshire members with digital transformation.”

Charles Addison, Made in Yorkshire and Made in the Midlands managing director, added: “I’m really impressed with the shared vision Fluid communicated and it’s wonderful how closely it resonates with our own.

“Their recent partnership with food manufacturer Aquascot saw the firm digitalise their production and quality assurance in just under a year, winning Digital Business 2021 at the SHIRE awards, and their ongoing digital transformation programme with Whitby Seafoods has already freed up £500k of raw material funding.

“I have no doubt that their expertise will be invaluable in supporting the manufacturing businesses in our network.”

Fluid operates on a partnership model of support with SME manufacturers, many of whom see it as a cost-effective way of bringing IT leadership and project delivery resources into their business.

Fluid joins leading business advisors from the region – including Lloyds Bank, Clarion Solicitors, The Partners Group, Catax, E3 Recruitment and Control Energy - as Made in Yorkshire patrons.
