A market for Christmas: Local homebuilder sponsors Silsden Community Group’s Christmas Market
Local homebuilder, Barratt Developments Yorkshire West has helped the people of Silsden get into the festive spirit by sponsoring Silsden Community Group’s Christmas Market and festive lights switch-on.
The Christmas Market took place on Sunday the 28th of November at Silsden Town Hall, which is just a short walk away from Barratt Homes’ Saxon Dene development. The market welcomed locals to take part in seasonal crafts, make a start on their Christmas shopping, sample some festive treats and even have the chance to meet Santa Claus.
Local residents were also able to enjoy a series of performances, including a traditional nativity and carol service followed by the Christmas lights switch-on, all of which were made possible thanks to Barratt Developments Yorkshire West’s £500 sponsorship.
On the sponsorship, Duncan Turner Chair of Silsden Community Group said: “We were thrilled to have got the festive season off to a magical start in Silsden with our Christmas Market and lights switch-on. We are really grateful to Barratt Developments Yorkshire West for its significant contribution to the festivities, which helped to make our event such a success.”
Jake Helm, Sales Manager at Barratt Homes’ Saxon Dene in Silsden added: “We are fully committed to supporting the communities in which we build, and the Christmas market gave us the perfect chance to do so for the people of Silsden. It was fantastic to see so many people getting into the festive spirit - especially after being so restricted this time last year. We hope the local community enjoyed the festivities and have a very Merry Christmas!”
Barratt Homes’ nearby Saxon Dene development in Silsden is a stunning collection of three and four bedroom homes. Surrounded by picturesque countryside, prospective buyers can enjoy a village lifestyle whilst having easy access to neighbouring Bradford and Leeds.
