Fashion and food brand developer to open “redefining” retail space with interactive leisure area
The Campus has been developed to include a flexible workspace, pop-up retail, and an urban food hall, along with an interactive leisure area including a bar and digital table games.
The concept was designed and developed by the teams behind Inc Retail and parent company Inc & Co to “revolutionise the way people shop, work, and play”.
Inc Retail has brands such as fashion brand KNOMO London, high street Eatery Chop’d, and on-demand laundry app, Laundrapp.
Dan Shaw, managing director of Inc Retail, said, “We are delighted to be launching The Campus, our biggest move yet in redefining the retail landscape. The Campus will redefine how consumers use retail spaces, and it will bring together people to allow them to work, shop, eat, and play under one roof.
“Whilst also solving a growing challenge of repurposing vacant retail space. We are excited to be launching our first site later this year, followed by further sites in the second half of 2022.”
Convenience, experience, and discovery will be at the centre of The Campus, supporting local brands and bringing new brands to market for the first time in physical retail space. Plans are afoot to launch 10 sites in the U.K by 2023 and with sites in all major cities within 5 years.
Inc Retail’s sister company, incspaces, a flexible workspace provider, will manage the workspace area within The Campus.
Ben Perman, creative director of Inc Retail, said, “We have been developing this scheme over the last 12 months, working with an expert team across retail, workspace and construction sectors, to create something special. We have designed a space that encourages collaboration and celebrates discovery and experience.
“Working with each of our brands and companies in the Inc & Co group, the proposition of The Campus will continually evolve, encouraging visitors to keep coming back to discover something new.”
Several of Inc Retail’s brands will exist within The Campus, but new brands will be brought in to sit beside them to offer a “truly diverse retail mix” of established and never seen before brands.
