IoD Essex appoints international performance coach
The Institute of Directors (IoD) has boosted its Essex team with the appointment of public speaking coach Mariette Richardson.
Mariette joins as Digital and Creative Industries Ambassador and will work alongside the branch team to provide local directors with connections, professional development and an influential lobbying voice.
Mariette is an international performance coach, focusing on professional coaching for all speaking roles. She has extensive experience in the media industry, including presenting on television, and has authored the book Free the Hidden Speaker Inside.
It is the latest appointment to the growing IoD Essex team following the arrival of PR professional Alison Shadrack as chair in 2021.
Alison said: “I am delighted to welcome Mariette to the Essex ambassador team. She brings out the best in people and transforms the way that we engage with one another - a crucial skill in business. Our members in Essex will find her knowledge and experience extremely valuable.”
IoD Essex represents around 600 directors and is a part of the East of England region, which also includes Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.
