Stuart Binnie, Rund

Rund, specialist surveying and construction consultancy is delighted to appoint Stuart Binnie to its Bristol office as associate director.

The Bristol office, launched last year in response to increasing client demand for its multidisciplinary services, is growing rapidly making Binnie’s appointment a welcomed move in strengthening Rund’s presence and standing within the area. The company has three previously established offices in London, Birmingham, and Southampton.

Binnie, who brings over 30 years of experience to Rund, has had a decorated career specialising in quantity surveying, project management and development management for global consultancies, whilst also managing his own SME construction consultancy providing support to businesses at all stages of a project lifecycle.

One of Binnie’s key focus’ in his new role will be to continue to develop and work with clients on projects within the Southwest of England, whilst seeking new opportunities and supporting clients in Bristol with the regeneration of an already thriving city.

Digital Workforce Services PLC, has promoted Leon Stafford to the role of UK country manager as the company continues its growth in healthcare, manufacturing, energy, utilities and the public sector.

Mika Vainio-Mattila, CEO at Digital Workforce, said: “Enterprises are seeing how IA can support their strategies and goals, while at the same time helping tackle skills shortages by automating processes and refocusing resources.

“To achieve this, we need the right team in place. Over the last few months, Leon has demonstrated time and time again that he is exactly the right fit for Digital Workforce. Leon initially joined Digital Workforce as director of sales in May 2021 from Blue Prism, where he led RPA engagements with the likes of the Ministry of Defence, UK Policing and ABB Group.

He has since helped Digital Workforce strengthen its relationships with a variety of UK private and public sector organisations in healthcare, insurance, manufacturing and local government.

Agnes Altmets, TLT

UK law firm TLT has appointed Agnes Altmets as a senior sustainability manager to support its plans to become a net zero organisation.

Agnes was previously sustainability manager at TLT and has held sustainability roles in organisations including the GC Business Growth Hub, Auto Trader UK and Tallinn University. She is also a founding member of the Warrior Women Network, a support network for women improving the lives of others and saving the planet.

The appointment reflects TLT’s increasingly busy programme of sustainability-related activities across the UK, and its commitment to being at the forefront of sustainability in the legal services industry.

In line with the Science Based Target initiative’s new Net-Zero Standard, which was launched on 28 October 2021, TLT has set the ambitious target of becoming carbon neutral by 2025 and is working with Carbon Intelligence on its net zero roadmap.

This will help to identify key areas of focus and what actions are needed to reach critical milestones – including setting science-based targets – and give TLT a solid framework to support monitoring and reporting.

Lisa Brown, McAlister Family Law

Beyond Law Group’s leading North-West family practice, McAlister Family Law, has appointed Lisa Brown as partner in its divorce and finance team.

Lisa joins McAlister Family Law from Maguire Family Law, where she was also a partner. She has specialised in family law for over 15 years, acting for clients on a wide variety of issues including divorce, private children matters and financial matters including complex and high net worth cases.

Lisa’s primary focus at McAlister Family Law will see her acting on behalf of clients seeking advice and guidance in relation to divorce and finance, predominantly the more complex, high net worth cases.

McAlister Family Law is a specialist practice within Beyond Law Group, the disruptive legal business whose strategy is to create, build and manage specialist legal practices under one modern business structure.
