Funded Short courses to help transition people back into office

As businesses move back into their work places The University of Sunderland timely launches a suite of workplace related short courses. As businesses return to work, what will that mean for teams who’ve only met on ‘Teams’?

With new blended working lifestyles being adopted by many organisations – is the office ‘water cooler chat’ set to return? As getting back into routines for school drop off’s, negotiating traffic hot spots are all gaining momentum, now is certainly the time to launch these courses!

As part of the Northeast Workforce Skills Programme, the University of Sunderland has a set of workplace focused fully funded short courses available to businesses in the Northeast. Some of the course’s that suit the workplace include:

Workplace Wellbeing – Introduction (1 day) Applied (3days)

This course helps delegates to appreciate the scope of wellbeing issues. To cover the complexity of workplace wellbeing issues, develop tools to use within the workplace to help effect meaningful change for the health & wellbeing of employees

Organisational Change - Introduction (1 day) Applied (3days)

This course is designed to inform of the complex nature surrounding successful change programmes within an organisation. To develop tools relating to practical ways of assessing change initiatives.

Behavioural Safety - Introduction (1 day) Applied (3days)

This course covers the discipline of psychology within the field of occupational safety and health. It helps delegates to understand the psychological processes that underpin work related safety behaviour.

Environmental Psychology in the workplace - Introduction (1 day) Applied (3days)

This course covers the basic principles of observing workplace environments, what is environmental psychology? It also explores how to enhance health and wellbeing through workplace design and interventions.

Emotional Intelligence Masterclass – Online learning

The course will introduce you to Emotional Intelligence, to increase your knowledge and awareness of the role that emotion plays in our behaviour and motivations.

The Northeast Workforce skills programme looks to upskill employees across the Northeast. This set of short courses allows businesses to help to transition their staff back into the workplace in a seamless, stress-free manor.
