Fully funded innovation support for businesses in York & North Yorkshire

The Product and Process Innovation (PAPI) project has joined forces with innovation and growth expert, Dr Jo North, from The Big Bang Partnership to offer fully funded innovation workshops for SMEs in York & North Yorkshire.

The workshops are designed for businesses looking to thrive and innovate. They comprise of two days worth of business support, in two parts, from top business coaches as well as bespoke mentoring sessions with Dr Jo North. The aim of the workshop programme is to support businesses to innovate and grow, discover fresh ideas and turn innovative thinking into commercial reality.

Dr Jo North said:

“Innovation is taking new ideas and applying them to make a purposeful, positive difference. It moves us forward, keeps us relevant and helps businesses to thrive.

The PAPI workshop programme is in two parts, in the first part we’ll give you some space to step back and think about your business, and where you want to go. You’ll also meet some great people from other businesses and be able to form a really supportive community.

In the second part, we have a range of experts who will deliver 90 minute sessions on things like app development, finance, social media, and PR. You’ll also get one-to-one time with me to develop an innovation plan for your business.“

The next PAPI workshops, for businesses in York & North Yorkshire will take place on April 26th 2022 (part one) followed by sessions from May 16th-19th (part two).

There is no charge to attend, but a short application form is required.

The Product and Process Innovation (PAPI) project supports businesses in York, North Yorkshire and Leeds City Region to create innovative new products through the provision of grants and workshops. Delivered by the University of York, PAPI also provides 40% grants of between £8,000 and £20,000 for the purchase of equipment which will create new products, services and jobs.

The PAPI project is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund and delivered by the University of York, in partnership with The Northern Powerhouse.
