Fortune 500 Company increases investment in Sheffield
Markel Tax, a leading tax services provider in the UK, is moving to new, larger office space in Sheffield. The move will see the Fortune 500 company increase its investment and presence in the city which is home to Markel Tax’s rapidly growing research & development (R&D) team.
The team has helped thousands of UK companies investing in the development of new products, processes or services, or enhancing existing ones, to claim R&D tax relief, on average saving their clients £55,000 per claim.
Markel Tax is also the only provider in the market to have over 25 in-house software engineers, meaning they can easily identify whether a claim is genuine R&D.
The tax team has moved to Ecclesall Road, right in the heart of the Sheffield. This new, vibrant office space has been hand-picked to accommodate its rapidly growing team.
Markel Tax’s divisional managing director UK, Neil Galjaard.“Markel remains committed to Sheffield and growing our incentives and reliefs side of the business, demonstrated in our investments in both the office and our people,”
“With our clients increasing, an incredibly strong H1 behind us and HMRC’s clamp down on rogue R&D claims gathering pace, Markel Tax’s reputation for quality is enabling the business to grow exponentially. Sheffield has a deep pool of talent and we’re already embarking on a recruitment process to fill vacancies at all levels as we look to grow the team.”
Markel will be hosting a launch party on May 26 with the senior leadership team, VIPs and the mayor of Sheffield to celebrate their increased commitment to the area.
