Leeds digital marketing agency boosts all employees’ wages to “help ease cost of living crisis”
Leeds and Belfast based digital marketing agency Brand Ambition has announced that they have increased the annual salary for every one of their employees due to the rise in living costs.
Uncle and Nephew Robin Hetherington and Sam Raife founded the digital marketing agency in 2020 and have since landed clients such as Bauer Media, Proxima and Health-Tech company HNC.
In under two years, the duo have grown their team and have centred their ethos around “people before profits”. They have recently sought to prove this by raising the salaries of their employees to help ease the financial strain that is felt across the nation.
Being a family-owned business, the agency has a family-first approach companywide, and pride themselves on operating within a “truly flexible” working environment and supporting career development.
Managing director, Sam Raife, commented: “We’re in a fortunate position to be able to offer staff a little help towards the rising cost of living. We can do that because of the fantastic support we’ve received from the clients we work with, who continue to invest in us as their chosen brand and digital marketing agency.”
“Our staff took a leap with us when we started out a couple of years ago, and although the climate was difficult in the middle of the pandemic, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to be a growing start-up in an inflationary economy.”
“Rising costs, inflated industry wages and government messaging to abandon investment in marketing will force some businesses to abandon their moral standards just to stay afloat. At Brand Ambition, we embedded a core value of “People before Profit” and we’re working hard to stick to it.”
The agency has recently been accredited as a Living Wage Employer, something that the company says it is “extremely passionate” about. Brand Ambition is currently looking to recruit more team members to support the continued growth of the company and acquisition of new clients.
