Robertson Homes acquires new development site in "highly sought-after" County Durham village
Housebuilder Robertson Homes will develop 45 luxury new homes in the village of Burnopfield, County Durham after completing the acquisition of land on Syke Road.
Planning has been granted for Robertson to build two-bedroom bungalows and three, four and five-bedroom homes on the six acre site close to Hobson Golf Club and Burnopfield Cricket Club.
Construction work on the development called Bowes Manor will start this month with the first completions expected by May 2023.
Wes English, Robertson Homes’ North East land director, said: “Burnopfield is a highly sought-after residential location, offering excellent transport links to major areas of employment and easy connectivity to extensive leisure and retail facilities, whilst offering a traditional village environment.
“The location is ideal for the type of luxury homes Robertson builds, with higher than average specifications, larger living spaces and lower density, meaning larger plot sizes.
“Customers only need to visit any of our other current North East developments to see the design style and build quality that has made them so appealing to house buyers.”
Robertson Homes recently sold its final properties at three North East developments, in Low Coniscliffe, Darlington; Nunthorpe in Teesside and Wynyard Estate in Stockton-on-Tees and is looking for new land opportunities to double its output across the North East over the next three years from its Gateshead headquarters.
Wes added: “Very few developers offer a range of larger properties designed and built to the quality of a Robertson home and now we have a number of developments finished or nearing completion in the North East, we can demonstrate how we have helped landowners create genuine legacy developments that local communities and homeowners will be proud of.”
