North Kent College Shows its Appreciation to Local Care Home
Haslington Lodge Care Home in Dartford receive special appreciation of thanks from North Kent College for supporting and assisting their students through real-time work experience.
The message from the College to the Care Home reads: ‘This certificate of appreciation is awarded to Haslington Lodge Care Home in appreciation of accommodating, assisting, and supporting North Kent College students through real-time work experience and thereby helping them to achieve their goal towards being a positive member of the future workforce.’
Shaping the care sector of the future, the care home has partnered with North Kent College to provide students studying Health and Social Care with first-hand experience of what it is like to work in the care sector.
Rachel Lucas, Manager at Haslington Lodge Care Home says: “We are very happy to be part of shaping futures in social care. Mentoring students and sharing our passion for the care sector with others is a privilege, especially when they connect with what we do. I am so very pleased to say two of the students we have mentored from North Kent College are now full-time employees, it’s a real success story, they are such valued members of the team.”
From housekeeping to registered manager, each job in a care home counts, which is why Haslington Lodge Care Home is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of social care workers, sharing the real-world of care and the avenues of employment within it.
