Caspian Insurance in growth mode with new office and recruitment drive

Award winning Manchester-based life insurance broker, Caspian Insurance, has marked its commitment to the city and its team by moving into a new 6,000 sq ft office in Tower 12, Spinningfields.

The second floor, open plan office creates a modern space for its expanding team to work from and signals the business’ post pandemic focus on contemporary working styles.

Boasting the largest private office terrace in Manchester city centre, the office has been fully fitted out by Mountain Earth, while agent, OBI is responsible for the building’s lease.

As well as a brand refresh for Caspian Insurance and its other two brands - IGotCover and Busy Bee Life Insurance - the broker is creating a wealth of jobs in the city. Four weeks of on-tram advertising commenced on 20 September to fill up the live vacancies, which will take the company from its pre pandemic headcount of 60, to 100.

Caspian Insurance’s market position is extremely favourable, with revenue increasing by over 25 per cent since 2020. Sales of Business Protection products have experienced the most significant growth, with more companies choosing to take out policies that protect them from the effects of key people suffering a critical illness or dying in 2022 compared with two years earlier.

Oliver Rayner, managing director of Caspian Insurance, said: “We are delighted to be in our new office in Spinningfields. It’s an amazing space where we all enjoy coming to work. The open plan aspect means we can all support each other and it makes communication extremely fluid, while the terrace is a great addition for socials. “

“We’re fortunate to be experiencing growth at this level - it’s testament to our qualified and highly knowledgeable advisers and wider team who always strive to better themselves. The shift towards businesses of all sizes taking out Business Protection has made a really positive impact on our revenue too, while Critical Illness Cover (CIC) and Income Protection are growing in popularity as the cost of living crisis continues to bite. Understandably, people want to protect the thing that pays for all their expenses - their salary - in case they become too ill to work.”

Rayner continued: “We appointed Mountain Earth to create and install a new vibrant office for our team and they have delivered exactly that both on time and on budget.”

Caspian Insurance’s new office has five meeting rooms, two roof terraces and a communal kitchen featuring a fully stocked bar and complimentary coffee machine showcasing a new coffee bean for the staff to try every month.
