Accountancy firm continues “incredible growth” with refurbished York office launch
Parsons, Chartered Accountants has recently opened a new practice in York, to offer accountancy and tax planning services to clients based in the city and its surrounding regional area.
The firm has driven “incredible growth” since 2020, doubling employee headcount to above 50 team members to support its growing client base. The firm has expanded its service portfolio with the addition of Audit and Tax Advisory to welcome new clients and drive “consistent turnover growth”.
The York office joins two others located in Denby Dale and Wakefield. The newly refurbished York practice is managed by Mark Stanton, director and head of York, and Rebecca Davison, director and head of tax.
Sharing over 40 years of combined experience in top 10 firms and latterly as partners at an independent practice, the pair are said to have a “well-earned reputation for establishing excellent relationships with clients built on sound business advice, effective tax planning and technical accountancy expertise with a friendly and relatable approach”.
Ian Parsons commented: “I’m delighted to be welcoming clients in York with Mark and Rebecca. Our shared ambition to adapt and succeed, and our dedication to outstanding client service makes us a great team.
“The York offer will mirror ours in terms of Mark and Rebecca’s commitment to clear and trustworthy guidance for their clients, and their high regard for technical and ethical excellence.”
Having opened the doors to a newly refurbished office in Gateway 1 at Holgate Business Park, the Parsons York team is reportedly expanding quickly to service a growing client base.
Rebecca added: “We have already recruited some excellent talent and, as we are on a growth trajectory, we are continually looking for exceptional individuals who share our values and our passion for top-class client service.
“I am very much looking forward to working with business owners in the York region, providing them with tax and business growth expertise to assist them throughout the lifecycle of their businesses.”
Mark concluded: “We are excited to be working with Parsons to achieve our long-upheld aspiration of leading our own practice. Working in collaboration with Parsons allows us to offer a more diverse suite of services which matches the portfolio offered by the UK’s top 10 accountancy firms.”
