HQ opens new flexible workspace in Waterloo

A new premium flexible workspace, operated by HQ, is opening at 141-142 Lower Marsh Road, Waterloo in London as the demand for hybrid working rapidly accelerates.

Unprecedented demand from companies and workers looking for hybrid working solutions means IWG is aiming to add 1,000 new locations over the next year. Hybrid working offers companies a significantly lower cost base with an average saving of £8,000 per employee.

The central London location will include co-working space, meeting room space and an outdoor terrace overlooking Waterloo station. Well located on Marsh Road, the new HQ space is a short walk away from both Waterloo station and Lambeth North underground. The property is surrounded by local bars, restaurants, cafés and theatres for hybrid workers to enjoy.

IWG is the world’s leading provider of flexible workspace with 3,500 locations in 120 countries with members able to access all of the locations and business services via the IWG app. The company is adding a further 1,000 locations over the next year and already counts 83 per cent of Fortune 500 companies among its customer base.

Mark Dixon, CEO & founder of IWG, commented: “We’re pleased to be expanding our footprint in the capital with this latest opening. Londoners need access to workplaces across the city to ease their long commutes and give them flexibility as hybrid working becomes the new normal.

“This opening comes at a time when more and more companies are discovering that flexible working boosts employee happiness and satisfaction, while helping the environment. Our workplace model is also proven to increase productivity and allows for a business to scale up or down at significantly reduced costs.”

IWG’s multi-brand expansion strategy is designed to appeal to every type of business and entrepreneur. IWG creates personal, financial, and strategic value for businesses of every size, from some of the most exciting companies and well-known organisations on the planet, to individuals and the next generation of industry leaders.
