Award-winning garages share online vision – and website provider
Harrogate-based Garage Services Online is celebrating after 11 of its customers scooped top automotive aftermarket industry awards.
The company, one of the leading providers of websites for independent garages, has also recently received an accolade of its own from the Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF). It was named ‘Highly Commended’ Service Provider of the Year in the IAAF Pride of the Aftermarket Awards 2022.
Garage Services Online, which has grown its customer base by 25 percent in 2022, provides a unique subscription website service to its customers throughout the UK and Ireland. It says its business model is making it simpler and more cost-effective for independent garages to compete with main dealers.
This was highlighted in the national Top Garage and Top Technician Awards. Across all seven categories, the company celebrated four of its independent garage customers being category winners, one being a runner-up, and one being a finalist. Five other customers won their respective categories in the Motor Ombudsman Star Awards, Servicesure Awards and GroupAuto Awards.
Managing director, Jim Lang said: “We’re incredibly proud to be the company behind the online presence of these 11 award-winning garages.
“They’re all thoroughly deserving of their accolades and have worked incredibly hard to get to this level. A common factor is they all have one of our websites; I’d like to think it’s not just a coincidence!
“One of the reasons I’m so proud is because its recognition at the highest level that when a garage commits to going online with a sector specialist such as ourselves, it’s about so much more than attracting work. It’s about becoming a better business.
“Garages don’t have a problem getting work on their ramps; most are taking bookings up to three weeks in advance. However, what they do have a problem with, is booking the work that’s the best and most profitable fit for their garage.
“When a website is specifically seeking out the work a garage wants and attracting the right enquiries, it becomes an integral part of that business’ success. It contributes to customer satisfaction, better workflow, and ultimately, profitability.”
