Architects build a secure future with the support of Compliant

Sunderland based ISO consultancy Compliant have successfully supported an award-winning architectural business to achieve UKAS accredited ISO 9001 certification.

RSHP, based in London, create sustainable places throughout the world with design solutions that are adaptable and transformative, the company contacted Compliant as they looked to gain the globally recognised quality certification.

Compliant, who support businesses across the UK and more recently in America, were keen to help the business move forward with their growth plans and this included gaining the globally recognised standard.

With many businesses looking to tender for Government contracts, secure inclusion on frameworks, improve their processes or simply to gain a competitor advantage, the demand for ISO certification has seen the services of Compliant being called upon more and more in recent months.

ISO 9001 is a globally recognised standard used by over 1 million businesses, it helps to implement clear, repeatable processes to maintain a quality service for their customers every time and can enable businesses to access tender and growth opportunities.

With an ever-growing demand for the quality standard from RSHP’s clients, especially in Government ran projects, they decided to invest in the process, knowing that gaining the certification would demonstrate their commitment to quality.

RSHP’s Production & Operations Manager, Lorenz Frenzen, was delighted with the outcome of the process with Compliant, commenting, “We are continually looking for ways to improve our processes and procedures to make the business efficient, having ISO 9001 in place supports us in this mission and in applying for tendered work. It demonstrates our commitment to quality and helps us to achieve higher marks in any tender process.

Having a clearly designed process, especially in a creative industry, removes confusion and improves communication across the business. Compliant were great, they understood our need to take our time with the process and allow a culture change to occur in our organisation whilst fully embedding the system.“

The project was overseen by Compliant director, Mark Henderson, who is himself a BSI trained lead auditor, following the successful outcome, Mark commented, “It’s been a delight to work with a company that wanted to engrain ISO 9001 and it’s processes into the business, the senior management team were all onboard and wanted to drive the standard forward.

RSHP wanted to take their time in getting to know the ins and the outs of the standard and the management system that we created. Lorenz and the team have been dedicated to shifting the culture across RSHP and making sure that everyone is on board with the certification and the new processes and procedures outlined. We were thrilled to see the international business achieve certification and look forward to a successful ongoing relationship.“
