Watford residential development provides “some of the best value” in the region
Weston Homes’ “sought-after” residential neighbourhood The Laundry Works is now over 60 per cent sold, providing “some of the best value” new build apartments in Watford, beating property prices in the local area over the past two years.
The 2.5-acre site, which was previously home to the old Watford Laundry Factory, provides 248 new one, two and three- bedroom apartments set within a wide tree-lined boulevard with landscaped gardens throughout.
According to data collected by HM Land Registry, the starting price of homes at The Laundry Works are cheaper than the average prices of apartments sold in the area over the past two years, despite year-on-year increases.

The data shows that the average price of a new build apartment sold in the area in 2021 was £337k, whilst the average sale price of a new build apartment was £349k in 2022, almost 30 per cent more than at The Laundry Works.
The Laundry Works will see the creation of a “thriving” new residential neighbourhood within an area noted for its green spaces and decidedly “village-like” feel.
This residential neighbourhood features eight “distinctive” brick façade buildings which range in height from three to 13 storeys, with nearly all apartments featuring a private terrace or balcony. The development also includes extensive car parking and secure cycle parking.

Watford Underground Station on the Metropolitan line is just a 10-minute walk and provides excellent connections to central London and beyond. Watford’s largest open space, award-winning Cassiobury Park is nearby and the 165-acre Whippendell Wood offers numerous walks.
Suzanne Aplin, group sales & marketing director at Weston Homes commented: “In the current economic climate, purchasing a first home can seem like an impossible feat for many people.
“At Weston Homes, we are passionate about helping young families and individuals get onto the property ladder, which is why we make it our mission to deliver high quality homes in areas with great transport links into London with competitive price tags”.
