Sunderland travel insurance specialist rewards staff for “record-breaking” success

After a “record-breaking” start to 2023, Sunderland based Travel Insurance specialist Just Travel Cover is gearing up for a busy summer period by launching its biggest ever staff incentive programme.

With holidays now firmly back on people’s minds after a turbulent few years due to Covid, Just Travel Cover reported its best ever start to a calendar year, as travellers seek to ensure they have the right protection in place, with several new staff members in place to support further growth plans this year and beyond.

One member of Just Travel Cover’s sales and service team will win a five-star all-inclusive holiday for two people, as ‘The Great Tenerife Dash’ gets underway. What’s more, the lucky winner will get an additional week’s annual leave to put their feet up and recover, after what’s expected to be a very busy summer period.

The broker, which specialises in helping people with pre-existing medical conditions find the right Travel Insurance, is also throwing in £500 spending money, taxis to and from the airport and, of course, free travel insurance.

The holiday giveaway is open to all of Just Travel Cover’s call centre staff, including the three apprentices who joined the company last year, and the competition aims to boost morale, as well as good customer service and outcomes.

Director Isabel Mellefont commented: “It’s been a great start to the year and it’s important we keep up our reputation for great customer service.

“This competition will encourage staff to continue to go the extra mile for our customers with a chance to win an amazing prize at the end of it. With a busy summer ahead, they’re excited at the thought of a week in the sun on us”.

Just Travel Cover’s sales and service advisors donned their finest holiday clothes to mark the announcement on Monday morning, including Rebecca Webster from Sunderland who sported a full wetsuit and flippers.

Rebecca remarked: “Everyone was really excited to come in on Monday to find out what the big news was. We already get additional incentives for our work and there are always mini prizes up for grabs in the office too, so it is really exciting that one of us is going to win a holiday on top of that”.

Isabel added: “It was great to see the buzz around the office this morning. We found that half of the team have not been abroad since Covid hit, so it’s great to be giving something back. We’ve got some dress down days lined up during the competition as well as some smaller prizes to enhance that holiday experience.”
