Home health care specialist expands into newly refurbished Harrogate head office

Launched in 2018, West Park Care has already expanded to having offices in Ilkley and has now moved its head office base in Harrogate, relocating to new premises.

Previously based at Spa Bottom Farm near Follifoot, the new offices are based behind the Stratstone Mini Garage, just off Wetherby Road in South Harrogate. Providing home-based care for both the elderly and less able, MD Tom Page started the company having seen the “poor standard of care” his own grandfather received.

The company philosophy is based around individual based care, centred entirely on the specific needs of each person. Visits are tailored to provide both support and companionship, and the success of this approach has resulted in the recent office move.

Managing director Tom Page commented: “We are delighted to be able to expand the business after only a few years, and the additional office space will not only enable this to happen, but also provide facilities for more in depth on-site training.

“We have created a training room, ensuring that training to use specific equipment can be done onsite as part of the development of the carers we employ, all of whom are on permanent contracts not zero hours. We place as much importance on the benefits to our staff as we do to the individuals we care for.

“This person-centred approach to the whole business has gained us the reputation that we now thrive on, and we hope to continue our expansion into other areas in Yorkshire over the next few years.”

The move has enabled the whole team to be located on the same floor, ensuring all the departments have direct access to each other, and there is room for further growth.

The training facility also transforms the recruitment process and gives scope for more advanced onsite training. Its location means it is easily accessible by transport links and to support interviewing for new roles.
