Plans for 40 new homes in Honeybourne near Evesham
Plans have been released for a development of up to 40 stylish new homes on the edge of a highly sought-after Worcestershire village.
Midlands developer Deeley Homes has submitted a planning application to Wychavon District Council to build the development off Stratford Road in Honeybourne near Evesham.
The sustainable edge-of-village site is similar to Deeley Homes’ recent successful Moreton Edge development in Moreton-in-Marsh.
It has been designed to be in keeping with other properties in the village, with the homes completed to a high specification.
The development will feature a mix of houses and bungalows and plans are also to include 40 per cent affordable housing. Deeley Homes ran a public consultation on the project prior to the submission.
Deeley Homes is part of the Deeley Group, which is headquartered in Coventry.
Eleanor Deeley, joint managing director of the Deeley Group, said: “We’re pleased to be bringing plans forward for this new development in Honeybourne.
“We opened a public consultation on the development in February, which has included a leaflet drop to homes in the area. We would like as many residents in the area to engage with the consultation as possible and would urge people to head to our website to share their feedback.
“The development at Honeybourne will have many similarities to our recently completed development in the Cotswold town of Moreton-in-Marsh.
“Our design team will be ensuring that the properties fit in perfectly with the surrounding area and we have designed the development to maintain the semi-rural nature of Stratford Road.
“We will be looking to deliver a range of home types and ownership options to cater to the housing needs of various demographics in the area.”
Alick Petit of Sheldon Bosley Knight and Lauren Pearson of Lodders Solicitors acted on behalf of the landowner on the land deal for the site.
