Post House Dental goes back to its roots with major transformation of Weybridge’s Old Post House

It took significant investment and a commitment to excellence, but Weybridge’s historic Old Post House now stands proud once again.

Dr Bahader Singh Panesar has spent more than 12 months painstakingly resurrecting the derelict building into one of the UK’s most advanced dental practices.

The experienced dentist, who has been practicing in the town for fifteen years, had the vision of creating a welcoming and modern space that makes patients feel at ease, whilst celebrating a property that has served the local population for over 100 years.

“The Old Post House is one of Weybridge’s most iconic buildings but had suffered from years of neglect -meaning its transformation has been extremely challenging from both an engineering and design perspective,” explained Bahader, who was previously a partner at Weybridge Dental Practice.

“We took ownership of a building with damaged windows, a leaking roof, damp and failed plumbing and electrics. The first task was to strip back to the original brick work, dig out the foundations and meticulously rebuild, all whilst paying homage to the original design and respecting its ‘listed’ status.”

In addition to the refurbished exterior, the brand-new Post House Dental boasts five state-of-the-art clinical rooms and scanning facilities that provide a strong focus on combining advanced digital technologies with experienced and passionate clinicians - delivering excellence in all aspects of dental care, including cosmetics, implants, routine, and advanced dentistry.

The practice is also home to a dedicated training space for postgraduate dental learning. With over nine years’ experience in providing education to dentists and nurses, Bahader wants to continue helping shape the future of the industry by mentoring and supporting young dentists to develop their skills.

“Whilst it took us twelve months or more to complete, the end results are exactly what we were hoping for and I’m so grateful to all the contractors and our team that have made it possible,” added Bahader.

“The feedback from local people and our patients has been really positive and they are happy with the location, the facilities and the outstanding team at Post House Dental.

“Our town now has a historic building that is back to its best and, importantly, local people have access to an industry-leading dental practice that has been designed to deliver a welcoming, friendly environment and world class care.

“The Old Post House’s Location is also ideal. We have a car park of our own and are just a few minutes’ walk from the high street and the train station.

He concluded: “2023 is going to be an exciting first year for us in our new home and we have several exciting plans in place. One perfect example is an implant open day due to be held on September 9th, which will give patients the opportunity to have a free consultation to see if implants are right for them.”
