Connexin acquires Encompass Training as they push to upskill the nation’s workforce

Connexin, one of the fastest growing technology companies in Hull has acquired Encompass Training, one of UK’s largest training providers, as it continues its ambition to upskill the nation’s workforce.

The acquisition will see Encompass Training merge with Connexin Academy, Connexin’s training and development arm, as 30 additional staff join the team to accelerate employment opportunities for over 600 learners each year.

Connexin Academy was launched in 2021, with the aim to boost digital skills and enhance employability for the community. The Academy offers a range of sought-after development programmes on digital and IT skills, alongside popular bootcamps in advanced fibre engineering.

Founded in 2009, Encompass is a Centre of Excellence with The Leadership Pipeline Institute (LPI) which has emerged as one of the most influential leadership models in recent years.

Several FORTUNE 500 companies, including Wren Kitchens, Stonegate Group, Eurocell and Diageo, have all chosen Encompass and LPI as the leadership model for selecting and growing leaders across all levels.

Since launch, Encompass has provided a range of courses including leadership, management, accountancy, business and procurement, to thousands of learners, equipping them with vital skills, and enhancing their employability for a diverse range of sectors.
