Andrew Lewis & Robert Sharpe, Alba Bank

Alba Bank, the UK’s newest challenger bank dedicated to supporting SMEs, has appointed banking industry leaders Robert Sharpe and Andrew Lewis to the key roles of chair of the board and chief risk officer as it gears up for launch¹.

Moving into his new role as Chair, Robert Sharpe brings with him over 45 years’ experience in retail banking. Robert is also currently chair at Metro Bank plc, Hampshire Trust Bank plc and Pollen Street plc.

Alba has also strengthened its Executive Committee line-up with appointment of Andrew Lewis as chief risk officer. Andrew brings over 25 years’ experience in financial services. He joins from Aldermore Bank plc, where he served 3 years as chief risk officer.

Tom Bloor, evec

evec, the industry expert in affordable EV charging solutions, has appointed Tom Bloor as its new Managing Director. Building upon the unprecedented success of evec over the past year, Tom will be responsible for continuing to drive evec’s boundary-breaking mission to deliver the UK’s most affordable chargers.

Tom originally joined evec’s parent company, the For Everyone Group, in 2017 (then known as OEM Appliances), working within the sales team, and has been influential in the launch and growth of both the CoolMed and evec brands.

Stephen Johnson, CEO of evec, said: “Tom’s promotion marks our commitment to the growth of evec and Tom’s dedication to the company, which has seen us reach higher than we ever thought was possible in the past six years. I’m really excited to see where Tom will take us as the EV market grows and how he shapes the business as we start to progress into an electric future.”

Andy Heath, Re:Volve Real Estate

Newly-formed Re:Volve Real Estate has appointed a new chartered building surveyor to its team. Andy Heath, 27, has joined the 13-strong property and asset management business based in Wilmslow, as a senior surveyor, following a stint at CBRE.

Andy, who lives in Neston, Cheshire, will be responsible for the delivery of all building surveying duties for Re:Volve’s growing client base of 20+ clients. The firm, launched in July 2023 by Anna Main, already manages assets valued in excess of £350m

Heath said: “The team at Re:Volve are creating something very exciting and very different in property and asset management and I am excited to be part of this journey. I’ve already had the opportunity to work on both new and existing client contracts across the UK and look forward to winning new business as the Re:Volve difference becomes clear to the market.”

Simon Davies, Re:Volve Real Estate’s director of building and project consultancy, joined Re:Volve from Peacock Steven & Co to oversee the quality and delivery of all building surveying services - as well as developing an unrivalled building surveying team.

He said: “We are over the moon to have Andy on board as we again bolster our building surveying offering. He is already proving to be an outstanding addition to the team showcasing his skills and expertise on new and existing client portfolios.His energy and enthusiasm and can-do attitude reinforce the culture of Re:Volve as well as our commitment to being the best in class.”
