Parsons Containers make Wolsingham Show debut, strengthening local community ties

County Durham business Parsons Containers made its mark at the historic 243rd Wolsingham Show which took place at the start of September. Parsons’ debut as an exhibitor at England’s oldest and County Durham’s largest open-air agricultural show, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to becoming an integral part of the community in proximity to its main site close to the A66 in Darlington.

As the sole container company exhibiting at the show, Parsons took the opportunity to showcase a 20ft one-trip container and a 6ft new-build container, highlighting the versatility and breadth of its container solutions, which are available for both personal and business use. Over the two-day event, several members of the Parsons team were on-site, actively engaging with a substantial number of visitors. Their proactive efforts resulted in a number of promising business leads and helped foster valuable community relationships.

Parsons’ exhibition area was strategically located in the agricultural park alongside a wide array of traders, ranging from companies specialising in all terrain vehicles and surveillance, to food, clothing and crafts stalls.

Helen Parsons, Finance Director at Parsons Containers says: “Participating in the Wolsingham Show reflects our commitment to the local community within the proximity of our A66 site. The entire experience, from show booking to engagement with the organisers for stand optimisation, was a pleasure. The strong interest in our 20ft and 6ft containers, the quality of leads generated, and being able to improve the attendees’ understanding of our products, all made this a standout event that will definitely be a part of our calendar going forward.”

Joanne Wilkinson, customer experience manager for Parsons Group brand U Hold The Key, worked on the stand at the show and adds: “There was something there for everyone at the show, and the versatility of containers complemented the range of participants. Visitors on our stand were pleasantly surprised by the price of a 20ft one trip shipping container and there was interest in the utility of the 6ft model, as well as questions about the other sizes that we offer. Overall, it was a very enjoyable and useful experience.”

Parsons will use its experience at the Wolsingham Show to refine and improve its product and service offer for the rural communities that attend agricultural shows and other similar events.
