Local entrepreneur launches new property search firm for Newcastle

Entrepreneur Sean Collier is opening a new office of property search company X-Press Legal Services in Newcastle and will be working with the local conveyancing sector.

The new office provides property searches and reports required to complete all property transactions to local solicitors and conveyancers. Sean will be operating in the Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland areas.

Sean, 53, lives in Chester-le-Street, County Durham with his wife and two sons. After spending 25 years helping businesses to start-up, scale and relocate to the North East, Sean is now applying his knowledge to his own business venture.

In his previous career Sean managed business support programmes for North Tyneside Council, leading the economic development team, assisting over 2000 businesses and helping them create thousands of jobs in the region, many of the support programmes won national awards.

Sean is already developing relationships with a number of local solicitors, he explained, “Conveyancing is an incredibly busy sector right now, with demand for high quality legal support services rising all the time. So, it’s timely that I am able to bring our products and services to my local area to support the local property sector. I’m pleased to say that we’ve hit the ground running.

“Many search companies are large and operate remotely, what we’re finding is that solicitors prefer to have someone they can speak to and who they can rely on to produce their property searches and reports. We provide all the latest technology with good old-fashioned service and of course we are based in the local area.”

To celebrate the opening of the Newcastle office, Sean will be running a free CPD event on Wednesday 8th November for conveyancing professionals in the area.

He will be joined at Newcastle Racecourse by legal expert Ian Quayle to deliver a seminar informing on a number of subjects as part of an update on Residential Conveyancing including SDLT, boundary issues, rights of way, issues with leasehold transactions and much more.

X-Press Legal Services offers a comprehensive range of property searches producing the reports required for all property transactions such as flood risks, planning and environmental. The forward-thinking company is also constantly investing in new products to meet changes within the conveyancing and property sectors.
