Are you looking to upskill in your current role, or considering a career change? NCD University Centre can be there to support you in achieving your career goals. With NCD University Centre you can embark on an educational journey that combines top-quality education with a unique and supportive learning environment. Visit the University Centre on Saturday 11 November for an open event that could shape your future.

NCD University Centre offers a diverse range of qualifications. Whether you aspire to study part time, full time or upskill through a higher apprenticeship there is something to suit your aspirations. With qualifications in a range of areas including degree-level courses in business and management, health-related areas, early years and creative courses, or upskilling through a HNC and HND qualification. NCD University Centre also offers a range of professional qualifications include CIH, AAT, CMI and CIPD.

Whilst NCD University Centre qualifications are on a par with traditional universities, the support and personal touch from NCD sets them apart. Teaching takes place in informal classrooms rather than large impersonal lecture theatres, ensuring that your learning experience is supportive and friendly.

Josie, BA (Hons) Social Work student at NCD University Centre comments: “The lecturers are very knowledgeable about their subjects. I really look forward to coming into college. The tutors really invest their time to understand what you are saying. It’s preparing me emotionally and it is training me how to be a professional.”

New College Durham have a dedicated learning support team to support you every step of the way. Their Academic Support Tutors will help you master academic referencing, assignment writing, and presentation skills. Meanwhile, Personal Learning Coaches offer one-to-one support with time management, motivation, and essential study skills. If you are returning to education after a break, or haven’t yet achieved any formal degree level qualifications, this personalised approach means you will get the support you need to succeed.

Katie, who is studying FdA Business and Management at NCD University Centre, commented: “The tutors have been really helpful. Having that one-on-one time that you wouldn’t get at university has really supported me during my time here. I’ve also managed to progress with two promotions during my time at New College Durham. I would say this is down to the skills and knowledge I’ve been taught.”

With smaller class sizes and flexible study options, NCD also understand the importance of accommodating your work and family commitments. Many of the courses will fit perfectly around your other commitments and tutors will work with you on flexible study options.

You can explore the full range of courses at their forthcoming University Centre open event. At the event you can also hear talks on how to fund your studies, the unique support available at NCD University Centre and you can even find out how studying your chosen qualification as a higher apprenticeship could be the debt-free way to a degree. All the support services will also be available so you can find out first-hand about the amazing support available.

If NCD University Centre sounds like the right fit for you, register now for the open event on Saturday, 11 November, 10:30am - 1pm.
