Newcastle based MySalesCoach plans expansion via seven-figure investment

MySalesCoach secured £700k investment from the North East Innovation Fund, supported by the European Development Fund and managed by Northstar Ventures, plus additional investment from leading angel investors.

This follows on from the Company’s last funding round in December 2022 where they raised £560k from the North East Innovation Fund and angel investors.

MySalesCoach has developed a platform that matches and facilitates coaching for sales teams and individuals. Serial entrepreneur and founder Kevin Beales, and co-founder Mark Ackers, have recruited experienced coaches onto the platform and the business has grown significantly in its first year of trading.

The subscription service coaching sessions have shown a significant impact on the performance and development of sales teams, resulting in increased revenues and retention for customers due to the platform’s tailored user development pathway.

The team has already seen rapid growth selling into corporates and to individuals, with over 60 organisations and almost 1,000 individuals having an expert personal sales coach, and this investment will help them continue to develop the platform, expand operations and build out the team.

Kevin Beales, Founder of MySalesCoach, commented: “Sales coaching is proven to have great impact on results and growth, yet managers lack the time and expertise to deliver as much coaching as their teams crave.

“It’s the problem our founders have been committed to solving for over a decade and we are thrilled at how quickly MySalesCoach has grown in less than 12 months, beyond even our ambitious projections. This investment will help us capitalise on our early success to scale the platform and business.”

This venture builds upon the expertise of Kevin’s successful eight-figure sale of the sales software business Refract, where he was co-founder and CEO, to US firm Allego which now operates the firm’s Newcastle base as its European headquarters.

Tom O’Neill, Investment Manager of Northstar Ventures, added: “We’re pleased to support My Sales Coach with further funding which will enable them to build on their impressive progress to date.

“Kevin and Mark have developed a compelling impressive offering which has seen significant interest from a variety of customers and the business has got off to a flying start. We’re excited to join the team on the next stage of their journey.”
