Leeds comms and events agency celebrates new client wins and internal promotion

Leeds communications & events agency Hanglands have marked the end of their fifth and busiest year with a number of client wins and a promotion.

Over the last twelve months the company has worked with a diverse range of projects from artists and festivals to vinyl pressing plants, councils and hospitality openings. With a growing festival and events roster, 2023 saw the agency’s busiest year for events so far.

Working on an array of northern festivals including Deer Shed & Long Division as well as the massive Thought Bubble comic convention and board gaming event AireCon while adding new clients Live at Leeds, Twisterella and the Bradford Council backed Bradford Music Month.

Continuing their long-running work with clients including award-winning music organisation Come Play With Me, commercial event producers First Event and more, Hanglands have welcomed new clients in 2023 including Leeds venue Belgrave Music Hall for their 10th birthday celebrations, upcoming food and drink venue White Cloth Hall and more.

As the events, hospitality and culture arm of the company grows, Account Manager Jasmine Sidhu has been promoted to ‘Project Manager - Music’ and will manage the agency’s music PR work.

Joining Hanglands in 2021 from the Brudenell Social Club, Jasmine has worked across all aspects of Hanglands’ output but will now be moving into a management role, focusing solely on managing and growing Hanglands’ artist & label roster alongside copywriter Nestor Matthews.

In the second half of 2023 Hanglands has taken on new projects for labels including Big Scary Monsters, Communion Music Group, Clue Records, EMI North and Absolute Label Services who join previous label clients including Secretly Canadian, Come Play With Me, Blue Raincoat, Dance To The Radio & more.

Jasmine’s promotion follows Hanglands appointment as press partners for Berlin’s Pelagic Records where she will be responsible for international PR for their esteemed roster including artists like Mono, The Ocean, Årabrot, Arms & Sleepers and many more.

Jasmine Sidhu, Project Manager - Music, Hanglands, said: “I’ve had a lot of fun working on some amazing campaigns & projects with Hanglands but music has always been my number one passion, so it’s been a real privilege this year to take on work like Pelagic’s iconic roster as well as working with esteemed labels like Big Scary Monsters and Communion.

“To now take over management of the music roster and step into this new role is such an exciting & important milestone for me and I can’t wait to get stuck in!”
