Frogmore secures TCS letting at Darlington’s Lingfield Point
Leading Tees Valley business park Lingfield Point will kick off 2024 in style by welcoming one of the world’s leading providers of software and IT services.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has signed a lease at Darlington’s Lingfield Point with estate landlord Frogmore as TCS seek to onboard a key pension administration contract.
As part of global conglomerate TATA, India’s largest multinational business group, TCS has over 500,000 consultants in 46 countries. At Lingfield Point, the firm will occupy 8,000 sq. ft of office space in the Studios building from January.
Providing over 1.2 million sq. ft. of commercial floorspace, Lingfield Point is already home to a number of large-scale public and private sector organisations including DWP, NHS, Student Loans Company and Capita.
In 2018, the 86-acre estate was acquired by real estate investment manager Frogmore which has completed over £1.5m of new lettings and lease renewals in 2023.
Tandem Property Asset Management, appointed by Frogmore in 2022 to manage Lingfield Point, believes TCS will benefit from business park’s strong amenity offer and hope the letting is the start of a successful long-term relationship.
Adam Hall, partner at Tandem, said: “We are delighted to welcome Tata Consultancy Services to Lingfield Point. We are genuinely excited to work with TCS to deliver high quality office accommodation for their new team to work from and we believe this further reinforces Lingfield Point as the premier business location in Darlington.”
John Matthews, director of asset management at Frogmore, added: “Over the past 5 years we have worked hard to establish a vibrant workplace community at Lingfield Point, with regular onsite events and a real focus on health and wellbeing. Following the recent launch of our ESG strategy, we are working towards a Net Zero future, with wide ranging investment across the estate. It is fantastic news that TCS is joining us in January and will be part of this journey.”
Joint letting agents Knight Frank and Connect Property North East acted on behalf of Frogmore.
