Luxury lifestyle retailer announces new store at Northumberland shopping centre

Luxury lifestyle retailer The White Company will be opening their newest store at Sanderson Arcade in Morpeth, Northumberland this spring.

The store will showcase The White Company’s stylish and ‘unique’ collection of lifestyle products, ranging from elevated essentials for your home and wardrobe to luxury gifts.

The retail chain will be bringing its ‘uniquely warm and minimal’ style to the town for the first time, offering a carefully curated range of must-haves from best-selling signature candles and bath treats to the cosiest cashmere socks and pyjamas.

Founded in 1994 the company has over 65 stores in the UK and Ireland as well as a successful multi-channel operation. Bespoke sites operating in both dollars and euros bring the brand to an international audience.

The White Company will be located in a new shop unit opposite the busy M&S store and adjoining the town’s main car park. Accessed from the picturesque outdoor piazza within the heart of Sanderson Arcade, the centre is also home to other premium brands such as Mint Velvet, Phase Eight and Hobbs.

Sarah King, Director of Property at The White Company, said: “We are delighted to be opening a store in Morpeth. The White Company thrives in market towns and this store location is a great fit for the business with Morpeth’s popular café culture, local heritage sites and areas of natural beauty attracting local shoppers and tourists visiting the area”.

Sanderson Arcade was developed by Yorkshire based regeneration specialists, Dransfield Properties, in 2009. Still owned and managed by the company the team have brought a broad mix of more than 40 well known high street and quality independent shops and eateries to this part of Northumberland.

Managing Director at Dransfield Properties, James Shepherd, added: “We are home to a great range of fashion retailers already here which the store will complement well. The White Company also offers a fantastic range for the home, which is something we know our shoppers have wanted to see more of at the centre.”

The new Sanderson Arcade store will stock the full collection of home, fashion and fragrance as well as the range of children and baby wear under The Little White Company label. Work is due to start on the new unit at the end of January ready for an early summer opening.
