West Yorkshire based eLearning ‘pioneer’ among first to attain B Corp Certification

Titus, an eLearning company based in Salts Mill, Saltaire, has announced its achievement of the B Corp Certification, one of the first in its field worldwide.

The certification represents a milestone and a ‘big step’ to further the company’s purpose which is to empower people to improve the world through learning.

A specialist in providing online learning platforms, Titus’ work has seen it provide learning solutions to some of the world’s leading organisations, including the likes of CNN, the multinational news organisation, Network Rail, the owner and infrastructure manager of the UK rail network and The Labour Party.

B Corp is built on the mission of using business for good. Companies must undergo a comprehensive evaluation process to attain B Corp Certification, measuring the company and staff’s impact on the world and scrutinising broader business practices for transparency and accountability.

In attaining B Corp status, Titus joins a global community of like-minded businesses that prioritise purpose alongside profit. The rigorous assessment evaluated various aspects of the company’s operations, including transparency, staff attitude, community engagement, and environmental practices.

Once they achieve their certification, companies are continually measured on a scale and need to be seen to foster a culture of continuous improvement to retain the accreditation.

Ellie Sharkey, Head of Marketing and Purpose at Titus, commented: “Commitment to positively impacting the world has always been at the core of our practices, and to be recognised for this by B Corp on our first time applying is incredible.

“For our customers, this news assures them that our services and products meet high standards and contribute to positive social and environmental change.

“For our people, it indicates our commitment to a people-first culture and that we are dedicated to providing a workplace where people thrive. Whilst this achievement is great, it is just the start, we are committed to using Titus as a vehicle for good.’
