Newcastle and Leeds set to welcome new ‘hybrid ready’ Virtual Reality meeting rooms

Wizu Workspace has announced the launch of its brand new ‘hybrid ready’ meeting rooms complete with high-tech video conferencing facilities and VR headsets, in a ‘first-of-its-kind’ move for the flexible workspace sector.

Designed for the future of collaboration, the VR technology will allow users in different locations to meet together in virtual reality Zoom rooms, and will be available in Wizu’s Newcastle and Leeds locations initially.

Wizu will be hosting an exclusive ‘casino-themed’ launch party on 1 February for the Newcastle businesses community at their new Portland House location, where the new technology and recently completed workspace will be showcased.

Attendees will get a first-look at the brand new flexible workspace which features Wizu’s ‘signature vibrant design and top-notch amenities’, plus they’ll be treated to complimentary food and drinks from local Newcastle restaurants and bars whilst trying their hand at various casino games.

Tom Almas, CEO of Wizu Workspace, commented: "In our constant pursuit of innovation for our members, the development of our new Portland House workspace was no exception. With an 85 per cent surge in Google searches for 'hybrid jobs' in 2023, it is evident that businesses require workspaces capable of facilitating hybrid working.

“As industry trendsetters, we have made significant investments in VR and video conference technology to provide our members with a seamless and cutting-edge experience.

"Our Portland House showcase will not only highlight what this game-changing space can offer innovation-driven businesses, but it will also bring together the Newcastle business community for a unique night of networking."

Wizu at Portland House is officially open, offering a diverse range of workspace solutions catering to a spectrum of businesses, from dynamic one-person startups to corporate entities requiring over one hundred workstations. Developed by landlords Oliver Holland and James Keegan, this collaboration with Wizu delivers a ‘new standard’ in flexible workspaces.
