ENSEK new hires

Global retail energy software provider creates over 40 new jobs in a single month

ENSEK, a global retail energy SaaS software provider, has hired 43 new staff in January alone.

This announcement marks a significant milestone in its growth journey and an 11 per cent increase in the company’s workforce, showcasing its commitment to fostering local talent and providing stability in uncertain economic times.

As part of the growth, ENSEK has welcomed new joiners into its Software Engineering, Professional Services, Service Desk and Managed Service teams. The majority of the new joiners are based in and around Nottingham, making use of the flexibility to work remotely as well as visiting the vibrant City Centre offices.

This strategic move not only bolsters the company’s Nottingham based workforce but also provides a welcome boost to team members who can enjoy enhanced job security given some of the recent uncertainty within technology companies across other sectors. The hiring spree has taken the SaaS firm’s total number of employees to 414.

Laura Handley, Head of HR at ENSEK, commented: “We’re thrilled to welcome 43 skilled individuals to our growing team. This significant investment in local talent not only reinforces our commitment to the community but also allows us to provide stable employment opportunities.

“I’d also like to thank the incredible team and Managers who have taken on such a large number of new hires seamlessly, providing an excellent onboarding experience which has received some brilliant feedback.”

ENSEK’s positive employee culture extends from its welcoming onboarding process through to recognising loyalty through a number of different initiatives from small things like a range of bespoke hoodies at specific years-of-service milestones up to life enhancing month long paid sabbaticals on offer to employees at 10 years.

Laura continued: “One of the reasons so many people join us is how we look after employees in the long term, in fact, 20 per cent of hires come through referrals from existing employees.”

New starter, Chloe Whitehead, Operations Analyst, said: “When the opportunity arose to join ENSEK, I absolutely couldn’t let it go. The company culture was something I wanted to be a part of, with supportive people and friendly faces everywhere, I was confident this would optimise my productivity and growth.”

Jon Slade, ENSEK’s CEO and Founder, added: “Our commitment to expanding our workforce is a testament to our dedication to providing high-quality services to our clients. We have no plans to slow down our growth, and despite the increase in our team size we are proud to maintain our positive work culture and high levels of employee satisfaction.”
