The Networker offers ‘one-stop hub’ for UK firms
A new online platform aims to simplify how small businesses access networking events and funding opportunities across the UK.
Yorkshire entrepreneurs Rosie McGilvray and Sue Turmel have launched The Networker to fill a gap in the market, providing UK-based business owners with a free, centralised hub for finding in-person and virtual networking events, exhibitions, and funding resources.
Rosie said: “We couldn’t believe there wasn’t one website that listed all the networking events in the UK. So, we decided to create one.
“There wasn’t a single place that consolidated all the funding options available to small businesses. It was clear that we needed to include this in our vision.
“We’ve made it free to use because we want it to be as comprehensive as possible.”
Created to meet a growing need for accessible business connections, The Networker allows entrepreneurs to register for events while offering event organisers a cost-free way to promote meetings and conferences.
Designed as a ‘one-stop platform’ for entrepreneurs, startups and networking groups, the platform also offers a range of resources developed in consultation with small business owners and industry experts.
Since its soft launch in October, the platform has already started to make an impact by streamlining access to valuable business growth opportunities.
Sue added: “It’s about creating better business connections and giving entrepreneurs the tools they need to succeed.
“Whether you’re just starting out or looking for ways to expand, The Networker is here to support you.”
