Funding fuels Sky-House Co's Sheffield scheme

A housebuilder has secured funding to transform an ex-industrial base into accommodation.

Sky-House Co has agreed a deal with St Bride’s White Rose Residential Partnership to revamp Sheffield’s former Stokes Tiles Warehouse site into a build-to-rent development.

The firm says it will build 66 two-bedroom duplex homes and one-bedroom apartments on the 0.55-acre site, which forms part of Sheffield’s Devonshire Quarter.

Bosses say the first homes will be built in early 2026, with the project scheduled for completion by early summer of the same year.

The funding deal extends an existing partnership between Sheffield-based Sky-House Co and The St Bride’s White Rose Residential Partnership, which is overseen by St Bride’s managers on behalf of South Yorkshire Pensions Authority.

The latter provided funding in 2021 to help expand Sky-House’s land pipeline, and has helped the company build new homes at sites including Waverley, in Rotherham.

It also helped secure the Devonshire Quarter site.
