Anopol expands with Poligrat UK takeover
A metal finishings firm says it has opened a new “chapter of growth” after completing a takeover.
Anopol has bought Poligrat UK Limited.
Bosses at the electropolishing and chemical surface treatment process operator say the deal marks a “significant milestone in its growth and innovation”.
They add the agreement – completed for an undisclosed sum – will “grow Anopol’s ability to serve clients throughout the UK manufacturing sector… and provide a broader client base”.
Operating from bases in Birmingham and Bordon, in Hampshire, Anopol provides electropolishing – which increases corrosion resistance and reduces friction – and other treatments to stainless steels and metals for clients across the medical, automotive, pharmaceutical and food processing sectors.
Aldershot-based Poligrat has delivered metal surface finishing services to clients for more than 60 years.
David Cass, Anopol managing director, said: “This acquisition is in perfect alignment with our commitment to delivering exceptional value.
“We are thrilled to be able to enhance our service offerings."
Rob Plimbley, Anopol (South) managing director, added: “This meaningful growth will continue to strengthen our capabilities and enable us to better serve customers.
“We will build on the complementary strengths of both businesses to cement our status as a leading competitor in the European marketplace.”
