Birkett Long appoints new head of commercial
Essex-based law firm Birkett Long LLP has appointed Tim Field as its new head of commercial, overseeing its intellectual property, education, employment, business and regulatory teams.
Tim brings extensive experience supporting SMEs and aims to enhance the integration of the firm’s commercial services, delivering tailored, practical advice aligned with clients' business objectives.
Under his leadership, the teams will focus on strategic growth and seamless service delivery across employment, intellectual property, corporate and regulatory matters.
Beyond his professional role, Tim is actively involved in local organisations such as Firstsite and St Helena Hospice, reflecting Birkett Long’s commitment to community engagement.
Tim’s appointment aligns with the firm’s mission to inspire in every interaction and positions the commercial department for continued success.
