DLA Piper's delight at 'momentous' office move
A law firm has hailed a “momentous occasion” after completing an office move.
DLA Piper has switched to Leeds’ City Square House.
Bosses say the site “reaffirms its commitment to the city… and will enhance productivity and wellbeing”.
They add the move officially closes a chapter on an investment decision made at the start of the pandemic.
Andrew Dyson, DLA Piper’s UK country managing partner, said: “We have a strong heritage in Leeds, and our move to City Square House represents a significant investment in our operations and people.
“This space has been developed based on feedback, and it embodies what we believe the law firm office of the future should look like.
“We began our investment at the start of the pandemic, and seeing this vision come to life is a momentous occasion.”
He revealed the office includes locally-sourced furniture and fixtures, recycled materials and reclaimed wood, energy-saving lighting, vehicle and bicycle charging points, and a health and wellness suite.
It also has space for local artists – and office staff – to display their work.
Kirstie Allerton, DLA Piper’s Leeds office managing partner, added: “As we enter the new year, we are thrilled to move into our new office.
“From locally-sourced materials to neurodiverse spaces and modern architectural techniques, this building is not just a workplace but a destination that will enhance productivity and wellbeing.
"We look forward to welcoming our people, clients and guests as we embark on this exciting new chapter in our history.”
DLA Piper has further offices in Birmingham, Edinburgh, Liverpool, London, Manchester and Sheffield.
