Funding Xchange appoints new chairman
London-based Funding Xchange (FXE), the fintech leader in assisted lending and portfolio monitoring solutions, has named Paul Gordon as non-executive chair.
Paul, a seasoned banker with a 40-year career at Lloyds Banking Group, steps into the role following FXE’s successful Series B funding round, led by Barclays in 2024.
His expertise in commercial banking and digital transformation will drive FXE’s mission to enhance SME access to lending through innovative decisioning technology.
Paul said: “Funding Xchange is changing the way in which businesses gain access to finance and helping lenders develop smarter, more efficient digital tools and pathways.
“I very much look forward to working with Katrin and the team as the business continues transforming the way the commercial financing market operates.”
He succeeds Simon Featherstone, who guided FXE through pivotal growth and the scaling of its technology arm.
Katrin Herrling, co-founder and chief executive officer of Funding Xchange, added: “We are extremely grateful to Simon, who joined up upon completion of our Series A and has helped us navigate the upheaval of Covid to position the business to raise a successful Series B earlier this year.
“Under his leadership, the Group has matured both in its capital raising and strategic direction.
“I am excited to work with Paul as large institutions increasingly turning to FXE to access our unique set of capabilities that enable rapid digital transformation and the delivery of ambitious lending targets.”
