Northern PoWEr Women Awards names finalists
The Northern PoWEr Women Awards, Europe’s largest celebration of gender equality, has announced its 2025 finalists, showcasing groundbreaking achievements across 12 categories.
Hosted by ITV News’ Nina Hossain and set to take place on March 6, just ahead of International Women’s Day, the awards will gather over 1,000 leaders, role models and trailblazers at Manchester Central Convention Complex.
Following a record-breaking 1,600 nominations, this year’s finalists represent diverse industries, including rail, finance, charity, sport, firefighters and education, celebrating their transformative impact on society.
Simone Roche MBE, chief executive officer of We Are PoWEr, Northern PoWEr Women Awards and PoWEr Collective CIC, said: “The finalists for the 2025 Northern PoWEr Women Awards showcase the remarkable talent and dedication thriving in the North.
“These individuals are not only driving change within their industries but are also setting the stage for a more inclusive and equitable future.”
With co-headline sponsors Barclays and Bank of America, and partners including Bentley Motors, BT Group, Castle Peak, Tetra Tech and ASDA, the awards continue to spotlight individuals and organisations breaking barriers and championing inclusion.
Amy Williams, managing director at Barclays, added: “Awards like the Northern PoWEr Women Awards are crucial in today's professional landscape because they provide a platform to celebrate and recognise the achievements of women and our allies, inspiring others to follow in their footsteps.
“These awards also help to challenge stereotypes and break down barriers, promoting a more inclusive and diverse workforce. We cannot wait to celebrate with everyone in March on what promises to be an amazing night!”
