Rathbones Newcastle office appoints investment director
Rathbones Investment Management has strengthened its investment team with the appointment of Marcus Stewart in its Newcastle office.
With over 25 years of experience in the wealth management industry, Marcus joins Rathbones as an investment director.
He will be responsible for managing investment portfolios, maintaining one-to-one relationships with clients and developing wealth strategies to help them achieve their financial goals.
Before joining Rathbones, Marcus worked at UBS Global Wealth Management, where he was a client advisor and North East office head. In that role, he focused on the local market and supported executives and entrepreneurs in the region.
He said: “Having relocated to the North East from London in 2020, this is a great opportunity to continue building my network across the region.
“The North East is a growing area for the wealth management industry and I am dedicated to expanding the local network to capture the growing number of business owners in the region.”
Marcus will report to James Kyle, who was promoted to regional director earlier this year following the retirement of Nick Swales.
James added: “Marcus brings to Rathbones a wealth of experience in the industry alongside his knowledge of the local market and we are delighted to welcome him to the team.
“As we continue to grow the business regionally, Marcus will support our goals and further enhance our client relationships.”
