Estate agency on move with East Midlands deal
An estate agency says it is primed for further expansion after completing a merger.
Pygott & Crone has added an East Midlands operator to its portfolio.
Officials say the deal, for an “existing established agency” in Nottingham’s Wollaton area, will fuel growth across its lettings business.
They add the merger, which has given the firm a presence in the Bramcote Lane shopping area, has bolstered its workforce to more than 85.
Founded in Lincolnshire in 1991, it has high street bases in Grimsby, Grantham, Lincoln and Spalding, and an office in the City of London.
Mark Brayfield, national lettings director, added: “The Wollaton branch will further speed up the growth of our lettings business in Greater Nottingham.
“Over the last 18 months, we have doubled the number of properties we manage nationally through organic growth and some acquisitions.
“This expansion aligns nicely with our planned expansion over the next couple of years to proactively grow our lettings business.”
Paul Wood, director, added: “The Wollaton branch will complement our Nottingham city centre branch really well.
“It is a great location, with easy access to the M1 motorway, and is a natural extension to our existing operating area.”
The firm has further offices in Boston, Holbeach and Sleaford.
